Just For You

Would you follow your heart without question?                         To believe in what you feel without second guessing,         You lay awake as the thoughts race through your mind, Your imagination gives you a fake outcome every single time,       Can you trust your gut even with so many variables,                     Can you believe that your happiness is even remotely possible,                                        My heart has scars and deep fractures like yours,                           In your eyes like mine, our pain pools in complicated reservoirs,     It's hard to forget a love that's so emotionally strong,                           When you share a certain bond but the trust is long gone,                What do you do? Can you forget the past and start over?                   Can you believe for a moment the one you love won't lie and stay sober?                                                  An interesting concept, do you trust I can really change,                   I guess it depends on how much love and emotional desire remains,                                              A man can and will change given the position he's put in,                     Especially when it comes to his baby, his love, his reason for living.
