Just The Two Of Us

My precious sweetheart Linda, the World now sings of Joy;
For Christmas is upon us, the first without our boys!
They say “Feel the Yuletide Spirit”, with laughter and lots of glee;
But how are we to do this, when we’re down to you and me!

Our Angels both are gone now, their stockings no longer hang;
No little gifts for them to tear into, no “puppy songs” that we once sang!
Like “Nico The Pink Skinned Bichon, and His Crazy Cody Bro”
As their little eyes would sparkle, with their faces all aglow!

Santa won’t be stopping here, in twelve nights on Christmas Eve;
For he knows our children left us, no toys need they receive!
It will be now just the two of us, to share the greatest gift of all;
Our love for one another, to quell the tears that ever fall!
