Poem -

JUSTICE IN DUE TIME

Unanswered questions weighing heavily on my mind,
Endless time I've spent wondering why I been so blind.
Should've done this, and should've been like that,
You got me treating my own self like I'm your doormat.
All the black eyes and the blue tears you've made me cry,
And still here I sit looking crazy praying to God, "why?"
Not the same whys I know you must be thinking,
Because I can make it and let go without ever blinking.
Emotional constipation taking over and consuming my soul,
Keep your head up because you're worth more is what I've been told.
You not being able to control and make me suffer and hurt no more,
Would be well worth the difficulty of never coming back through this door.
I believe you disrespect, belittle, and hurt me to hide the fact you're so weak,
But deep down inside you know you're incomplete and you're already beat.
You beat yourself, a long time before you knew me, all on your own,
That's the reason you can't look at that man in the mirror for very long.
You're just an empty shell of a man who is broken and incomplete,
But I'm not worried God will make sure you reap and fall to your defeat.
