It costs us nothing to be mannerly
This trait is absolutely free
I learned this when I was a child
My Mother taught me

Please & thankyou is part of my 
everyday
Yet I realise not everyone thinks this way

Some people are just darn right rude
Do they have no scruples ?
They sound impertinent & crude

A man’s just elbowed me whilst I was sat solo on the train
Huh he didn’t appologise
Tho he knew he’d hurt me, what a pain

Well what an idiot he really is I have to say
My side’s gonna be aching now for the rest of the day

It’s a shame to state a fact 
But when all is said & done
The majority of people are lovely
Though you always get one

Hes a temperamental tyrant
A cantankerous clown
With a face full of woe
His smile is upside down

Change your attitude sucker
Life can’t be that bad
Improve your personality
Refrain from becoming so mad

What goes around comes around
Everyone knows this is true
So there’s nothing surer
Karma will catch up with you
