Kids hospital / I lost it right there

Any lingering faith
Any embers of belief,
Its now dissipated
Its now left me.

Hearing the little ones illnesses.
Through no fault of their own,
Heartrending stories of faulty bodies.
But marvel at the fortitude they show.

Apologists can call it an act of God,
for innocent young (& families) , to be in such pain?
Is God really good ?
Or is it a myth , a comfort , we cling to , 
During dark days
