KILLER THOUGHTS

The mouse stares back
With beady eyes
While the elephant on 
A glass jar resides
Get off that jar
You will break it so
But the elephant and mouse
Just get up
And go
Under the covers then
Alone alone
Or is that a spider there
Looking for a home
Come, sweet spider 
Lay with me
While my bed is warm and the air is free
But watch out for the cat
In the orange hat
For I'm sure he is hiding
An enormous bat

Please
Can't stand the dark
So cold
So stark
Oh, Jesus, God
Please help me, please
It's snowing now
I don't want to freeze
Mad mad mad
I know it so
And sad, so sad
And low, so low
No comfort here in being me
Crazy soul laid bare
For all to see
But some comfort then
In that pill 
There
That will blacken this bright canvas
And I won't even care.
