Know My Struggle

I’ve been through a lot in life

Living day to day taking life’s strife

I still haven’t learned to cope with the stress of life

As a child I cried because when I had awoke I realized that my mom had died

No one to hold me, no one to confide in, in fact I know a part of me died

Living day to day taking the good with the bad, but I live in misery because honestly I’m sad

I walk with a smile on my face to mask the pain of this hateful place

A place that should be peaceful but instead makes me feel as such as disgrace

But I am determined to finish this race, because God has brought me so far in life to a beautiful place

A place where I can look back and study all of my flaws

Because experience is the best teacher and it will humble my fall.
