Know the real me

This isn't like all the other rhymes.
I don't need anyone to rescue me.
Gotta do this by myself,
Correct all my wrongs,
All my life horrors I must tackle head on,
No more lies, only truth from here on out.
It's time to face all the hidden demons I've had for so long.
To the women who ever tried to sponsor me,
I never truly fully opened up; there's so much more I could have added to step one.
I was too ashamed of the things that I had done.
The secrets that I've never told anyone.
I thought that everyone would judge me.
The world around us can be so cruel.
Trusting people with my secrets isn't going to be easy.
Because then I know people will know the real me.
