Poem -

Knowing you are there.

As the light dimmed
and the day took rest
I felt great sorrow
Within my chest
A sudden sadness and longing desire
An intimate moment
With My massire
I wept in silence
I felt your pain
You came to hold me
and ease the strain
I felt great strength
And replaced joy
The night it came with comfort eyes
You heard my sorrow
And heard my cries
And like the light I've always known
You lit the way, the way back home
Within your arms I face the world outside
With strength and love
I walk with pride
To view the beauty of my days, and face the night
In braver ways

Knowing you are there.
