Kudos

People like flowers and trees, I'll give you some,
the geranium said that tulip looked like monkey's bum,
someone said that it was was not very complimentary,
same flower congratulated daffodils on being exemplary.

Beautiful willows drooped over water always waiting,
surely continual compliments were exaggerating,
numbers of orchids gasped in plastic, all in rows,
ticks were given out front by purple and white bows.

Elaborate adjectives spring to mind like a 'weedbind,'
flowing like confetti, cynicism fades to being kind;
the Japanese all come out to see their cherry trees,
all hate is forgotten when they get down on their knees.

Be gracious, accept all of your mingy accolades,
you might just end up rich - just like 'fifty shades.'
