L A Fitness

Every weekday morning at 4:40, I get into my car;
And drive three miles to L A Fitness, away not very far!
I stand in line and chat a bit, with the regulars there each day;
Then the doors open up at 5 a.m., as we go our separate ways!
.
Some head to the workout machines, others to the spinning class;
My preference is the swimming pool, surrounded by see-through glass!
But instead of doing the lap thing, I jog in place one hour;
The equivalent of running four miles, no stress, the muscles power!
.
I face the front desk as I am hopping, wave to friends who later come;
They wave back and they smile at me, my heartstrings happy strum!
When I’m done, I get into the whirlpool, it churns and relaxes me;
After that, it’s a nice hot shower, endorphins motivated as can be!
.
I talk with buddies in the locker room, as I’m dressing up to leave;
I feel such warm camaraderie, with all the stories that we weave!
But the best part is always the last one, when I return and see my Love;
I exercise my options, and kiss my “Turtle Dove”!
.
.
After exercise
My heart races only for
The Love of My Life

You don't need any workout to appreciate the brilliance of this work !
Lovely work ( I am guessing some poetry ideas come from that swimming pool !)
Dear Kieran,
To receive such a lovely comment, proves that this poem is "working out" just fine.
You are spot on about the ideas that come to me as I am aqua-jogging.
Sometimes, I actually compose the first quatrain, in my head.
Thank you so much again.
Peace and Love,

Sounds like a great day, with a perfect ending
My Dear John,
A happy day, with a happier ending.
It is also always a happy day, when I hear from you.
Peace and Love,

"The morning start
Is a precious thing,
With praise for Linda
You will sing,
Love your life
Love your Wife...."

Well penned Larry!
My Dear Faith,
This morning starts so beautifully
As I read the words you send to me
Just after Linda's lips I kissed
Your poem made me reminisce
Love you,
Larry xxx
