A Land Of Plenty,

In the movies, the horror of conflict

They try so hard to depict

The ghastly nature and turmoil of it all

The tragedy when someone gets the call

To fight in a foreign city or field

Where no man must ever yield

But the true misery of war is shown in faces

Struggling to survive in bombed out places

Places lacking water, power and supplies

Where all the indigenous population cries

Help us, for God's sake, please !

Everyone has been brought to their knees

Injured children battle to see another day

What, in God's name, can you say ?

Let's aim to end such madness for good

Because that is what humanity should !

All living in peace and joy is preferable

To all that is hideous, vicious, and terrible.
