Last Night

Last night, the moon was beautiful!
A halo shone down from the sky.
I needed desperately someone to talk to-
Soon a stranger came passing by.

The winter air was chilly!
He commented on the cool night.
I said, But the moon is pretty!
He looked up toward the shimmering light.

Soon we engaged in conversation.
Talked about many things in our past!
Told each other many secrets!
Time....it passed by so fast!

The beautiful moon had long since, passed over us!
Stars twinkled on through the night!
I do not know who this man was-
But, he made me feel I would be alright!

He listened to my problems-
Adding only some advice of his own.
All he said made so much sense to me.
Soon, I knew we weren't alone!

Hours later, I was tired and sleepy.
Silently contented we were, he and I.
I almost ask to see him again......
Instead reluctantly bid him good-bye.

He smiled and thanked me for the conversation-
He told me that I was his Friend.
Then.....He stood up and immediately disappeared!
It was an angel whose ear God did lend!
