Last Night I Layed With Nico
Last night I layed with Nico, in a glorious dream I had;
I asked him to come and see me, I was feeling a little sad!
For I had written a Halloween poem, about my two precious little boys;
Going to a most special party, and sharing unforgettable joys!
.
So when I went to bed in the evening, the poem stuck in my mind;
How much I missed my little Soulmates, how my heart for them ever pined!
I drifted off to deep slumber, sleep came to me very fast;
Quite quickly, I found myself dreaming, lest than one hour had passed!
.
I was laying on a carpet by Nico, who had a sticker stuck in his fur;
I gently pulled and removed it, as he let out a precious purr!
I started rubbing his body, stretched out, laying by me;
I told him how much I loved him, and how happy I was to him see!
.
He looked at me with his big eyes, that said, “Daddy, I love you so very much too”;
For a moment, I was back in Nirvana, ecstatic, and not feeling blue!
But too quickly he started then fading, as I screamed for the dream not to end;
I woke up with tears that were streaming, my time over with Nico to spend!
.
.
We meet in my dreams
Parting so very quickly
Joy turns to sorrow

Dear Tony,
As usual, your powerful and lovely lauding of my poetry, brings me to the zenith of happiness. I miss you too brother, but as you are involved with your musical career, I have been putting all my efforts into writing a novel. Stay safe, stay healthy, and cheer for Joe Biden!
All my love,

This is not only beautifully written, it touches my heart. I understand, sometimes when we walk on trails we used to take our Boodro (cocker spaniel) it seems we can feel his presence. He walked with us for 17 yrs.Â
My Dear Shirley,
I know the pathways that you speak of when describing your walks with your beloved Boodro. I walked those roads with my beloved Nico and Cody, and after losing my little Soulmates, I traversed those same paths, naming them "The Trail of Tears". Thank you for your beautiful words.
All my love,
Larry xxx
