LAYING THE FIRST BRICK

I'm part of history but nobody knows my name
Some like me think this a most terrible shame
If I were born today I'd be called a cavity designer
As I laid the first brick on the Great Wall of China

Nice to know that the brick is still standing today
Made a good job doing this I modestly do say
So many other bricks have started to crumble
Mine is still there sure it makes me feel humble

If you go to China please check out my design
Directions are given telling which one was mine
Wish there was a plaque to commemorate
After all it was me who made this wall great
