Lazy Summers Day
Eighty-Four Pins is my first collection of Poetry available now! Order on www.amazon.co.uk

Pavements melt,
The tarmac cracks,
The city creaks,
As it wakes,
It begins to yawn and stretch,
Slowly wash the sleep away,
It happens each and every day,
On this lazy summers day,
On the street,
Smooth jazz plays,
As lovers hold hands and sway,
Move their feet on the dusty street,
With each beat,
With each breath,
Hearts begin to melt,
Begin to mould into one,
As lovers dance their hearts away,
In the midday sun,
It happens each and every day,
On this lazy summers day,

Your poem encapsulates my feelings entirely. What better than a lazy summer's day to drive Coronavirus blues away.Β
