Lead by example

We often have the tendency to let a big mistake pass if its an elder who's made such mistakes, we often give excuses like they are old, or to set in their ways, but I disagree completely, it's their stubbornness and unwillingness to realize the issues and fix them that make it impossible for the younger generation to learn or better this planet and their excuse? "I'm old, I shouldn't have to, let the younger generation deal with it." All I have to say to that is 3 words, lead by example.
