Lead weights

Lead weights

It's hard to swim from rock bottom with lead weights attached to each foot.

Nobody can see that I'm drowning as the water rises filling my perpetual rut.

This immutable sadness consuming my airways avidly devouring my depleting breath.

Feeling so perplexed by life's limitations,

I eagerly await my impending death.
