Learning to begin

Learning to begin again when all I see is an ever-changing world unfolding before me,

Learning to live and see and beginning to love is something unknown to me.

How can I live and see if I know not yet how to begin,
How can I love if it is but a foreign word only touched by others.

So as I take flight and lift my wings blindfolded I must do this without sight,

So when did I begin to see yet not really look?
When did I pretend to love yet not really feel?
When did I begin to jump yet not look ahead?

Seeing nothing yet loving even less,
Jumping without ever knowing how much time I have left.

My carelessness has been but a weakness,
Yet my ignorance has been that I have lost my inner strength.

For learning to begin again when all I see is ever-changing world unfolding before me.
