LEAVE ME with MY TEARS

Leave me with my tears, I plead,
Nothing in this world can comfort me
The world may spin, with laughter bright,
But I remain a citizen of the muted night.
Leave me with my tears, I beg,
It washes the sorrowful thoughts from my head
Let its stains tattoo my face
Each track tells a story of a heart that was mace
Leave me with my tears, I cried
Look to thine own, no questions why
Each droplet holds a whispered tale,
Of dreams once bright that has been detail.
Let my tears fall like the pouring rain
Make stagnant the flow of blood in my veins
Remove my eyes from its tower of light
And cast my soul into the mother of nights.
In every tear, a story flows,
Of lost tomorrows, of wilted rose.
In weeping art, I find my song,
In every ache, I discover where I belong.
So linger long, O fleeting night,
In your embrace, I find my light.
Leave me with my tears, my friend,
For in this well, my heart will mend.
