"LEST WE FORGET"

The graves of the fallen lay witness
to the brave men who fought in war
Eulogy`s inscribed in granite, to immortalize
their names, to honor their valor
They fought blood drenched battles
suffered for their country, with heroic fight
Lived in terrible conditions, trenches
scurrying with rats. oh god the stench the sight
A toxic yellow peril mustard gas was released
the chemical weapon of the day
Causing physiological suffering with blisters
burns and rashes, causing men to scream in pain
Many died in agony in their fight for their countries
brave men, who died in vain
Seventy million deaths, twenty million wounded
for peace to once more reign
"Lest we forget" we will remember
all died for freedom, in this global war
A slice of humanity wiped out so tragic
WE MUST LEARN from it, Enough now! Oh Please god no more.

Hi Dear Debs,
We must never forget. We self stipulate our priorities as all God's children are free to do. Some will run, from the horrors of humanity. Others will stay, and try to correct them. Many will die, in the name of peace! The epitome of an oxymoron! Well written dear Debs.
Hugs, Peace and Love,
xox Larry
