Let Us Give Thanks
To each is given some sweet treasure!
If we will but seek, we will find-
Thanksgiving blooming in our hearts-
Soothing passages of our mind.
Flowers playing with the wind!
A baby's smile, the robin's pose!
A friendship true, a marriage strong!
Sunshine, Rain...Have you thought of those?
A mountain's majesty, a wise man's words-
Reflection of a loved one's face!
Breath that we breathe and eyes for to see!
Multiple blessings surround this place!
Children, Ah! children in magical form!
They grow before our eyes!
Let us show the Lord our gratitude-
For the parental bond, for family ties!
Whether we are sitting at a feast of hundreds-
Or sharing with our neighbor a loaf of bread-
If our hearts bow to the God who made Heaven and Earth-
Nothing of more value can e'er be said!
Oh let us give thanks my friends!
Wherever we stand in this hour.
For our Father's mercy and sweet love-
His infinite wisdom and power!

Ah, thanks Tony! Glad you liked this one. I love Thanksgiving....it is tranquil and though this crazy world has tried......it has, as yet, still been unable to fully commercialize it!.....Yeah! Ah thank you! Very sweet!..... and funny thing just happened. It happened twice before with my computer! At least I have it figured out now! I caught it! I had just finished my response to Lisa's comment on my poem, when yours came through as I was sending it.....it drop kicked it somewhere! LOL Oh wow so, I won't have to go get my computer repaired after all.....caught it this time! You and I make good repair women! Thank you Debs! ...and no bill either......great!!! Have a blessed day! Ah thanks...it is a very old poem.....I mean (um,,ur, ugh...not to tell my age or anything!) but probably older than you! LOL I wrote it years and years ago.....glad you enjoyed it!
