A Letter Home

A Letter Home

I send this letter home for I know not how long I will last
I've seen so much death in my resent past
The war rages on and who knows when it will end
This may be the last letter that I ever send
For tomorrow is unclear of what may be
There's no telling the future this I can not see
I ask that all your prayer's will be with me
So I can send another letter home for you to read

yours dearest A.F 1867
