Liberal Privilege "Unpacking The Invisible Knapsack With the Elephant in The Room"

Liberal Privilege "Unpacking The Invisible Knapsack With the Elephant in The Room"

In the Spirit
of the Liberal Professor (Peggy Mcintosh)
who found fame in writing
the article "White Privilege" Unpacking The Invisible Knapsack
this prose serves to
acknowledge the Elephant in the room
that the Provost conveniently chose to ignore

Privilege
is when
Society
allows your
voice
to be heard
without
having
a butt load
of News sources
trying to discredit your
point of view

Privilege
is when
your view
is considered
educated,
enlightened
and breath taking
rather then
being dismissed
as ignorant
racist
and from the  backward
school of thought

Privilege
is when
Actors
Musicians
and Writers
give you
a standing
ovation
for the words and
inspiration
you have given  to
society,
in absence of the alternative
of being ignored
and treated as though
your inspiration
did not exist

Privilege
is when
Universities
and Think Tanks
Welcome you
to speak with open
arms
instead of forming
demonstrations
and
Physically attacking
when you arrive.

Privilege
is when
Corporations
such as Google
Facebook
and Gillette
encourage employees
who think like you
to express themselves
rather then terminating
their employment
because they do not
fit in the Company's "Culture"

Yeah Peggy Mcintosh
there is Privilege
out there
but the hidden
and unspoken privilege ( The Elephant )
is part of the Circle
that you lay
your "Knapsack"
to.....................................................

Hello Greg...

If you don't fit in the Company Culture they still give you a J.O.B.?

I thought privilege was walking to your car and not getting robbed, shot, or runover...

Thank you for the knowledge...

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...

Best wishes and blessings!

Hugs...

Hello Greg...

Sure, take away the little privilege I was feeling for a moment...

I thought they were like many other people who expose themselves...

?

If I ignored them I was hoping they'd go away, those Liberal freaks...

So many freaks...

Where's all the people?

?

Hugs again...

Terrific stuff, Greg!  Although I don't align to either a liberal or conservative view, I agree with this. That's the problem with liberalism, in obsessing with their own pretentious intellect, outraged by injustice yet quick to deem their adversaries in the density of black and white.

I am actually a Libertarian.  I do not like the Conservative party, however the liberals piss me off more because they are so intolerant to others and are quick to label those who disagree.  They act very prestigious and gaslight others

I'm not from the US, but have followed American politics for the last 14 years, obviously I wouldn't hold the understanding you have, though what you've portrayed here, I've witnessed through TV and reading further into the subject, such as students receiving a lesser grade due to being republicans. Not that I like republicans! I admire you for speaking as a true libertarian, as in being all inclusive!

The real reason Trump is in office is because of arrogant progressives.  I am not a fan but Obama and Hillary contributed to his success

That's been my understanding of it. They inadvertently helped electing him. Would he have even ran if Obama didn't humiliate him in that white house correspondents dinner speech.

The truth is Obama did a poor job in working with others, thus Trump got elected.
