Lies in the dark

Hurt, Lies, Darkness
Sad, Cries, Severed thighs.
Try to help the helpless, 
Smiles fade, tears remain.
no happiness here, sad stories.
we fear.
Not knowing what to do, or what to say.
There is only silence,
Everyday.
What we used to be, Is now a vivid dream.
My smile used to gleam, but now
unseen.
Hard to continue, but we must pull through,
only black and white, sight is not of much value.
life has become a nightmare, hard to escape
we've just barely scraped the surface
my head, hot as a furnace.
The lies that we tell, hurt us all.
