Life

Sometimes life is hard,
 it drags me too far down.
I can't seem to find a way,
to get up off the ground.
I've lived through so much pain,
and i don't know how to fight.
I hide away my shame,
and pretend that I'm alright.

I thought that i could live,
and no one would ever know.
About the hatred i feel inside,
and the memories i wish to go.
But life is so much harder,
than i ever thought that it would be.
So the darkness grew even bigger,
and it took control of me.

I had nowhere to turn,
no one that i could tell.
About the pain i feel inside,
and this life that feels like hell.
Now when i get scared,
and don't know what to do.
I try not to worry,
and start to think of you.

You are the light in my darkness,
to guide me on my way.
So that i can start feeling happy,
each and every day.
Now I'm starting to come to terms,
with all the sadness and the strife.
Because without living through this pain,
I wouldn't have you in my life.
