Life and death

Like 0 Pin it 1I am sworn to innocence
Like a tree in a forest
Who cannot see the light
Who does not see the day
Who looks into the fray
Who stands by the edge of the cliff
Shouting into the echoes
Echoes
echoes echoes
Echoing into the mouths
Of 100 desperate pleas, but
This earth is empty
It does not return the light
Rather it echoes into oblivion
Through the thick foliage
Down past the ravine
Past the stables
Where the horses play
Past, past and further into the Twilight
Where no man goes
Further, walking
Running,
Looking, running again
Lost
This is where ye shall lay
Unto the death
Blood and flesh
Flesh be born of death
For there is no mercy
There the beaten
Slayed and
Enslaved
Until the light returns
-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~
That which cast shadow
I look out yonder
Into the great mountains
Into these valleys as one looks
Into life and death

got to hand it to ya, this is a really good read, imagery is superb....felt like somewhere between a dream and walking into dusk, odd poem, but nonetheless highly poetic....I quite enjoyed the movement and pulse of this one, cheers, Jai
Luck is showing its way for
Jai; I am a writer of feelings
somehow poetry rises;
thank uuuuu Chris:)
Jai, you have some incredible writes but this is up there with some of your best work. The repetition of words really emphasize the feelings in the poem and gives it that old poetry sound which is quite awesome. It definitely sounded apocalyptic about halfway through that there wasn't much life left and the way you kept death looming, nice, very nice. Enjoyed brother. Peace.
Thank you Devon;
I hope we can avoid the apocalypse
but I fear not. We can control our minds
though. Appreciate all your reads.
Best wishes for this day; Jai:)
