Poem -

the life of a home

There is a cabin

deep in the forest

its wood rots slow

its roof is caved in

it once was a home

to a family long ago

till life crashed in

and claimed it for its own

now it sits in shame

of the glory it once was

laughs too far gone

memories erased

who knows where they are now

they can move on

but it will never forget

its time of past

from joy to sorrow

from rich to poor

life to destruction

where did the time go
