A Life Time Cupboard

So many things are assembled in this cupboard- I can’t look at a single one without being reminded of something

An ingeniously crafted wooden sword (varnished meticulously) – made for me when I wanted to be a vigilante, the idea entertains me even now

A black cowboy hat fashioned from synthetic leather- Impulse buy, surprisingly useful, gets me interesting looks in public

A Hawaiian flower necklace of various blindingly bright colours- Token of an eventful night, can’t part with it, surprised the original owner could

A book entitled ā€˜Accepting the Disappointment of life for Idiots’ – Unusual topic, never read, amazed it exists

An empty backpack- One day this will be filled to the brim and I’ll take it with me if ever I run away, which is a possibility

A large stick (curved) - found once and kept it in case I wanted to pretend I was a wizard, which tragically happens quite often

A small old fashioned glass jar- When I was 5 I thought I’d caught an invisible bug in it, it seems I hadn’t but I’d like to think I did, I hadn’t actually disproved this

It scares me how long I’ve been alive, this could be my lifetime cupboard

Not sure if that’s even a phrase but if not I’m happy to make it one

So many things are assembled in this cupboard- I can’t look at any single one without being reminded of something
