Life's Punch Drunk Chorus

Life's Punch Drunk Chorus

In the fragrant bowl before us,
Five voices whose power combine.
Singing loud the mighty chorus,
Sweet alcohol makes life divine.

Juice of lemon, clear soprano,
Rings aloft its joyous peal.
Milder notes like soft piano,
From the tea as alto steal.

Sugar, like a rich contralto,
Tones the lemon's loftier flight.
Whilst the rum's tenor robusto,
Lends a choir its leading might.

Never forgetting to blend in,
Is the one on which we call.
To leave out would be a sin,
Purest water harmonizes all.

So we drink and through our voices,
Aligned together in magic strain.
In each heart this brew rejoices,
Who all aloud sing life's refrain.
