Life's Swamp
Walking deep in life's swamp,
the rotting stench,
my life was nothing,
so unhappy and in a bog.
You reached out to me
and said "for every low
there is a high",
you saw deep inside me.
The rotting stench
you could not smell,
the crying blood red eyes
you could not see.
You are an angel
sent from heaven,
to show me the blue sky,
and the warmth of the sun.
To show me a life
filled with love,
a heart that gives so very much
and a soul shining so brilliant white.
You rescued me my beautiful love
and took me by the hand,
showed me a place of beauty
a place for us to share.
Because of you
my heart beats so peacefully,
because of you
I know what love really is.
