The Girl With The Flower
Walking through life's gardens
seeing nothing but weeds
the lonely mind
open to all of life's negative seeds.
Wondering why a beautiful blue sky
is wasted on such a lifeless earth
but the sun's warm rays are
shining on my worth,
my tears tell me
a love has been claimed
some lucky soul
has found their twin flame.
Such a blue sky
so rare and so clear
makes me feel so good
as my tears hold no fear.
The most beautiful sight
I have ever seen
against the backdrop of brown
what could it mean.
A flower so beautiful
as the girl who sits near,
she waters that purple rose
with love and much care.
My heart is pounding
as I say "hello"
she looks at me and smiles
with sweet sunshine's glow.
We smile at each other
and will do so for years
with a love so deep
with no negative fears.
That girl with the flower
so purple and true
I will love her forever
as she will me too.
The years have passed
and our wonderful deep love
has been promised to us
by Heaven above.
