Lifes' Three Types

We never know when the end will come for us. One day someone can be here and gone that very same day. Death is not only inevitable, it’s unpredictable. People react to this fact in many different ways. There are some people that use this knowledge to try and live each day like it’s their last. There are also the ones who choose to stay stagnant in life because they’re just waiting on deaths’ cold grip to take them away. Last but not least, there are the lucky ones who “neglect” this information and live as if they will live a long life or even forever. For the last group, “lucky” may not be the correct term. FOOLS is more fitting for it. This group does not live in a rush to fulfill their goals. They wake up each day with the expectation of waking up again for the next. Such entitlement is why this group is often the ones who are caught off guard when death comes. They plan for a full life but in reality, it’s not promised that they will make it to see the next day. When it comes to those who stay stagnant in life, rather than make something of themselves, they are fools as well, but less foolish than those who neglect the facts. They understand the reality of life, they know that everything they do now, won’t matter a hundred years from now. With this sense of low importance, they don’t see the point in trying to put so much time and effort into something, because they know that they will be forgotten at some point in the future regardless. This stagnancy is like two sides of a coin. The first side could be someone who mopes around all day, with low energy, and is always sad. The other side would be someone who just wants to party and get into trouble. They’re both considered stagnant in the sense of not wanting to actually try to use their potential and become the best that they can be. The reason why they are fools is because, even though they will someday pass away, just like the rest of us, they still have a chance to impact the future in some sort of way that could have them remembered. When it comes to the first group of people that I mentioned, the ones who live fast, believe it or not, they are actually very much like the people who stay stagnant. They seek to excel in life because they know that their life can come to an end in a instant, at any moment of the day. They acknowledge mortality and accept it to be inevitable, but they don’t accept that they should just sit and wait for death. They try to live a fulfilling life, as much as they can, so in the end they can minimize the number of regrets from not taking action. You may wonder how this group relates to the group of stagnant people, but you won’t believe me when I say it, but the people who fall under this group, are also fools just like them. When you rush everything so you can do more, you’ll never be able to truly enjoy the things that you’re doing. They never take the time to smell the roses. They view life as running a race against death, but you don’t know how far behind death is, so all they know is that they have to keep moving. The upside about this group is that these are the people that awaken the spirit of those who are stagnant and those who are neglecting the truth.  I am not saying which lifestyle is the best of the three, but I will say, not everyone gets the opportunities that a new day brings, so why not use it?Â
