Light, Silence and Longing

For I am undone by the sting of love
and merciless is its' venom
my fevered soul is breathless
and it's only ten fifteen pm
and the night is moving much to slow
the Northern wind
blows colder and colder
and the rhythm of the world is broken
as I watch the clouds come curiously still
They seem to stand in waiting
for a word or sound from you
to pass me down
knowing that its' been nineteen hours
six minutes
and thirty five seconds
since you've spoken to me

Hey Cherie, thanks for commenting on this poem, this one started as a joke to be honest, a friend of mine and me began texting each other and it became quite apparent to me that we were both enjoying each other's words, but at the same time I starting wondering to myself if I was getting a bit annoying
so I started timing myself between texts, waiting to see who would text first and if she didn't text me at the twenty four hour mark, I would send a text....it's a bit juvenile for someone my age to think like that, but while I was waiting I tried to come up with a poem to relax my thoughts, lol I know it's not a heavy life changing story but I'm a simple minded fellow...cheers
yeah that can be a little tricky, Lily Mae....I think he has to be careful to not over think, good point, lol
