Like a pheonix

Everything i felt so deep,
My happyness was yours to keep,
I let you take take take take.
punishing me for my mistakes

I started to fade away
becoming more distant every day.
Then something inside me changed
I realised this love was deranged

I chose to rise like a pheonix from the flames
I chose to rise so things will never be the same
I will change this path I am on
I will put, in my heart a better song

I began to beleive in a better, stronger me
I looked around and all the joy I did see.
never again will I sink so low
that I will let another tell me no

I am who I am, your words can't hurt me now
I choose to rise so watch me grow
