Like the Sex Pistols

A Small tribute to bravery
Rock and roll
was never the same
they came they left
but you know there still here..
At that time Challenging things
outcasts in their own country
not allowed in ours
they shot thru like red hot arrows
they spit and it never came back...
restored a sense of danger
all was needed
Like the Sex Pistols
don’t be afraid
put it out there...
No one was off limits
British royalty which no one dare challenge
IRA which no one dare talk about
controversy and confrontation
screaming down the alley ways
shocked and scandalized a nation
all was needed
Like the Sex Pistols
don’t be afraid
put it out there...

I LOVE this Mark!!..........I'm a musician by trade........and almost every musician/songwriter I know has VERY strong opinions about the Pistols............but you've put them in the perfect context here...........rebels..........who were unafraid of the status quo........PUT IT OUT THERE..........awesomeness brother.........great tribute write...............Love and Rockets!!.............T xo
Thanks for reading guys ....was listening to Anarchy in the UK over and over and was like cant
Believe these guys where saying in late 70s i was a small child watching nightly news and they were throwing ashtrays at reporters and i was like who the hell are they...
mark I still listen to the Sex Pistols music, yeah there attitude was dangerous and edgy, but John Lydon (Johnny Rotten) could carry a melody and the rhythm of a song, basically on his own, lol....they were not greatt musicians but this guy had a gift, not only as a 'singer' but he was so interesting in interviews....'God Save the Queen...we mean it man......God Save the Queen she ain't no human being'....attitude galore, dude I was so into punk it wasn't funny; even had a mohawk in my early twenties; and for a man of my complexion, it was plenty weird lol....great tribute mark, not a great band by any stretch of the imagination, but Johnny was the real deal, enjoyed the memories...def. liking the SEx Pistols...cheers
Chris/ i agree about musical yes !!! But they shook and stirred shit up..back then it was huge...
U have to agree with that....thanks for reading
Liian--thanks for reading and glad to hear your thoughts..
When in the 1980s the Sex Pistols broke into the music scene his followers claimed that there was no future for anyone, the leader of the band died and the Group disintegrated but there was a future and life followed.
The Sex Pistolsn had courage when it comes to point out social injustices but its destructive addiction to alcohol and drugs marred his message, despite that the Sex Pistols were positioned in their own right in one of the best bands of Rock of the twentieth century.
"We are stuck in a crazy world, and more live together we feel more alone." We are living in metal blocks, breathing the smoke of people walking, we are living with the soul always in weight, feeling the burden of civilization"
Tribute to Sid Vicious
