LILLY LEAVES HOSPITAL

A baby girl was allowed to leave hospital yesterday
Nothing unusual in that I hear you mention and say
However this was not an ordinary baby that's for sure
Let me tell you about Lilly and I'm sure you'll concur

Lilly was born just over a pound in weight
As all mothers know that's not particularly great
On the ninth of December to the world she came
To finally leave hospital was her ultimate aim

Complications arose like bleed on the brain
Five months in hospital poor Lilly would remain
However a happy ending finally occurred
Lilly left hospital as you now have heard

Aaaw lovely poetry on a news story. Such a scary thing when a baby is so very premature and so delicate and tiny.
My baby was also premature not as small as Lilly but she had to stay in hospital too. It's such an emotional time. But what I learnt is that prem babies are strong in their own little way, they are resilient and they adapt.
A wonderful write to a wonderful happy true story which is just what people need to read nowadays. Pxx
Happy VE Day!
