Poem -

Limerence

is it a yearning? that must be why it burns so fast, so bright, so hot
like a mother and her child.
skin to skin
unrequited love in its purest hour
lingers, only growing

a freesia flush, a fuchsia blush
a gentle flourish in the embrace of a rose
and yet, it is so very deeply disturbing - -
but for reasons one only cares to know.
