Poem -

Little bird.

If thou won't sing , dear little bird
the grandest songs I've ever heard

what silence shall I there attend
If thou is gone and not a friend

For not only music to my ears
you bring a pettiness to my eyes
A view,  but non have come to sing so sweetly nor match a tune as true

For what of all the heavens doves
That mark the days of light
And what of all the owls my dear
Who hoot within the night

For all the birds have songs to sing
that represent the vows of love

And you my little feathered friend
bring time at hand a standing
ovation from above .

Simply gorgeous!

It's been a while since I have read some of your poetry Deano.

Favorite lines:

And you my little feathered friend
bring time at hand a standing
ovation from above .

It sounds like a famous Shakespearian sonnet! The sound is delightful.
