Poem -

Little China Doll

Red rubies drip from paper skin onto ashen face
As the china doll examines chipped wrists
Broken fragments of her heart occupy the floor
In her empty house of straw
Porcelain legs snapped at the joint
She lies and waits for dark
Where monsters lurk outside her walls
Awaiting whispered commands in familiar voices
From the ones she bled for dearly
Monsters light sparks of hot betrayal
The china dolls house becomes a prison
Trapped inside her pyre
She bleeds soft petals of red on snow white skin
And smiles through the flames at their eyes
And mutters soft goodbyes
And chuckled farewells
As she slips into darkness
Into waiting silence
