Salvation

Do not mistake the marks upon my arms as an act of hate

Consider it an act of salvation

Ā For there is a poison in my veins

Received from the sharp bite

Of lovers with forked tongues. Ā 

When poisoned, one must bleed to survive,

So I bled your poison out.

Forgive me for what I’ve done,

Forgive the salvation on my arms,

I only tried to save myself.
