little garden

lay your sleepy head and

small and square like February and

same as soldiers in cloak and dagger
daffodils, tulips, some lilies and
like veiled ladies
your favourite alstroemerias
all around covered
with green grass
to walk with bare feet
turning around the four seasons
making dreams
harvesting memories and
filling Sunday afternoons
with the necessary reasons
to delay the sunset
because to this garden of ours
admiration makes it bring out
the best colours and
that unique aroma
of camomile and honey
that invites bees
to spend the whole summer
with us

our garden is small
but for us it is enough
