Little Miss Mouse

Little Miss Mouse,
Lived in a small house,
Raising her mice,
And tending to her spouse.

A dedicated wife and mother,
A mouse that wouldn't exchange her life with another,
For her life was good,
For her life was great,
That was until she had a twist of fate.

Little Miss Mouse,
Went shopping for a blouse,
Lucky her,
Today she spotted her spouse.

Her man was there flirting,
Touching,
Just too close
to another.
Too soon for conclusions,
But they came off as lovers.

Little Miss Mouse rushed back home in a panic,
She was heartbroken and frantic,
She needed to know for sure,
She needed proof her husband was faithful and pure.

So she devised a plan,
That was both clever and grand,
A plan that would show where everyone stands.

Little Miss Mouse set up a dinner of cheese,
Then sent out two letters,
'Join me for dinner please'
The letters gave a random location,
No name,
But there was an X O X O inscription.

Little Miss Mouse picked a very special spot,
Then she hid so her husband could get caught.

Right on time,
The flirt and her husband have showed up to the feast,
They seem very excited to see each other to say the least.
Little did they know they had walked right into a trap!
Soon to be punished,
For making Miss Mouse feel like crap.

Filled with anger and rage,
Miss Mouse quickly closed the cage.
How could her spouse be so deceitful?
All of her love and her sacrifice,
For this he was not grateful.

Little Miss Mouse had a spouse that turned into a rat,
For this reason,
He will forever be stuck in that trap.

Little Miss Mouse took herself back home,
A little happier to now be alone,
Sure having a spouse was lovely and fine,
But a cheater is someone that must be left behind.
