Poem -

Little Small Town Girl

To mend my broken heart

I don’t know what to do

Do I pretend like everything’s ok?

Or do I blame it on the other two?

To mend my broken heart

How can I put this straight?

I need to tell you how I feel,

Without it looking strange

Please don’t tell me what to do

So I can get over you

You can’t expect me to,

Wait around forever

Until she’s gone, to be together

Oh, how could you be so selfish?

Bragging around town,

How you’re so in love

With the little small town girl

That makes you so happy

When you go behind her back

Just to fake your feelings for me

So, what can I do?

To get over you

You have to let me go

So I can get on with my life

Go around with no strings attached

You have to let me go

And enjoy your life,

With your little small town girl.
