Living For Something

Living For Something

Time is simply a product in this unfair world. We're left out in the cold,
Searching; this long lost feeling of comfort still gnawing at the back of our minds.
Tell me, why do we do this? Run from the dark?
Embrace the light?
Like a wolf in sheep's skin this ache weighs me down.
I am fine to you on the outside-a smile, a great compromise.
In a world full of hatred and distrust. Please tell me, where is the love? Where is the safety?
Perhaps I am bitter, gazing through an hour glass watching this sand fall. Wishing there was more of it.
Or maybe, I'm just waiting for it to run out.
