Load shedding

When I was home
With my heart feeling
The warmth
The joy that fulfilled me
I felt at home
Everything working out
Side by side
All was just as bright as God's light
Shining upon us
God's comfort and blessing
Building love in us for us
That completed the light
For a right pathway
Where did we go wrong?

In a split second
Home built constantly
Being attacked by load shedding
We shedding feelings
Like heart rate dropping
We lacking it
We missing it
We loosing love
Through this darkness
We stepping on traps
Stepping on one another
No team work
Candles nowhere to be found
Why look elsewhere
And not above?
For the seed of love only God provides
We in the dark with heartless heartbeats
The cold how cold we connect in rage
Feeling lost in darkness
We lost ways
Blind to grab what's mine
Snatched by pride
Impatient and leading
To what we think we know
Yet we can't resist load shedding
For we didn't acknowledge
The way of light, love
Which is God
Seeking him 1st
For in him there is light
From within us we should show it
So purely light we should be
Love in his presence
Load shedding is the Devil's playground
Home of light is the destiny
