Loneliness
A cold that penetrates deep in your bones.
An ache that throbs with the beat of your heart.
A darkness so thick that it lets through no light.
An unbearable weight that you cannot shrug off.
A parasite feasting itself on your strength.
A bleakness so forceful it swallows your joy.
A pain so intense that your breath it can steal.
A bully to shatter your fragile esteem.
A barrier pushing all kindness away.
An emptiness everything fails to sate.
A life filled with nothing, so living but dead.
Loneliness coils like a venomous snake waiting to strike.
