Poem -

THE LONELINESS I HIDE

Nobody knows my sorrow

Because nobody sees me weep.

He is in my thoughts always

Even during the lonely hours of sleep.

It`s hard to put down on paper

This loneliness that I hide.

The broken heart I now have

Ever since the night he died.

Lord! put your arms around him please!

And place a kiss for me, upon his lovely face.

For he is very special

No miracle could ever re-create.

There`s a quietness that is deeper

Than the softly falling snow.

There`s a peace now that surrounds me

A peace I would really rather not know.

There`s a darkness to my mood

That no angel could ever lift.

There`s a silence in my world

That no matter what I do

It will not ever shift.

All I have now is just a sense of waiting

A silence deep and wide.

A darkness in my soul

That I cannot hide.
