Lonely Book

I  stand six foot but I feel two inches tall. Thinking before I could stand I had to first learn to crawl. The big light skin tall guy is the cover of my book. But I'm way more than that can you just take a look. Don't judge my cover and not actually touch the pages on the inside. Just thinking read me, read and you'll be shocked what you would find. On the shelf in the library located in the last names starting with R. Being picked across and never going far. Never been checked out from the library of life. Just looking at others go and I think Lord Jesus Christ. Will I ever be checked out, will I ever be touched by the hands of another besides the great librarian above. See others going for certain books ready to push and shove. I sit on the shelf a lonely book I am undiscovered collecting dust and no one understands. I'm a book with many secrets just open me with a simple hand.

Hey MULATTO POET!!......I had to comment when I saw your name......I am a MULATTO man......I have written many poems on being mulatto......I have just completed a four song EP entitled "MULATTO RUN".......I have several songs on the subject....., and I'm on chapter three of a book entitled "MULATTO RUN"........I've been dealing with the ramifications Of being a mulatto since I first came to America at age 12.......I grew up on American military bases in Germany and first experienced this type of angst, anger, and jealousy/prejudiced when I got back to the States...... there is no prejudiced in the military....,,, everyone was from somewhere different..... so it was major culture shock when I got here and had to go to civilian schools...... anyway, sorry I'm rambling....... just haven't met any other mulatto poets...... your write had some VERY compelling phrasing and great sense of rhythm and timing......I liked the metaphor of comparing yourself to a book on a shelf..... never being checked out........ALL STARS!!...... well done...... and....... WELCOME to COSMO!!....... LOVE and ROCKETS.......T xo. ?✳✴☀
