Longing For Summer

Longing For Summer

Like little blisters of rainwater,on every blade of grass
Brought by continuing murk and mist, that really gets on my ass
Be gone with you, you miserable days and let our summer prevail
Or we’ll end up with down on our cheeks and the skin of a common snail
Can’t wait for the summer months,to brighten all our days
And to banish miserable mist and fog,to be replaced by summer hays
Longing for our warmer days,so we may bask in the sun
Sip a cold drink on your terrace, watch your children having fun
Barbecue the night away, with your family and friends
Raise a toast to your summer evening, that’s the perfect end
